Dried Zataar, “Thyme”, Somaaq, Home Roasted Sesame, Home Roasted Ground Almond, Himalayan Pink Salt, Olive Oil.
Zataar is a herb from Middle East with a flavour similar to oregano, but more pungent, and with a very distinctive aroma – It is especially common in Middle East food, particularly eaten with olive oil, and is important as part of a healthy options. It is used with olive oil due to the fact that it is thought to increase memory properties, but its distinctive flavour also matches very well with the earthy qualities of olive oil and pulses.

I usually get my Zaatar from the Middle East but this is a great alternative and local! So flavourful and good quality.

I have never in my life tried za’tar with almonds but I thought I’d give this a try and wow was I in for a treat!! I thoroughly enjoyed it as the freshness of the product is undeniable with the toasted sesame seeds mixed in with it too making it the perfect breakfast staple.
